ABOUT THE MENTORING COACHING HOURS

“Mentor Coaching consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies.” (ICF Definition)

Mentoring provides professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency and capability demanded by the desired credential level. (ICF Website)

Mentor Coaching should take place over an extended time (three-month minimum) in a cycle that allows for listening and feedback from the Mentor Coach while also allowing reflection and practice on the part of the individual being mentored.

In order for you to be able to apply for ICF Credentials you need the minimum hours of Coaching Training required by ICF. More details can be found here: https://coachfederation.org/icf-credential

You may have have done your Coaching Training with other school than ours. That’s absolutely fine. We accept any coaches coming from other schools and that are willing to obtain their ICF credentials.

We use Zoom to organize our classes. It is free for your to download and it is compatible with any device (laptop, phone, tablet).

The group format program is formed of:

  • 7 groups sessions with no more than 10 participants.
  • 3 individual sessions.

The individual format is formed of 10 individual mentoring sessions. Your ICF mentor coach will customize each learning session based on your needs and interests.

The curriculum is focused around the ICF life coaching competencies and includes:

  • ICF core competency principles and practices (1-2 competencies per class session)
  • Demonstration of coaching sessions with students
  • Self-assessment of coaching competency and feedback from your mentor on 2 recorded coaching sessions with your client(s).
  • Preparation for the ICF Coach Knowledge Assessment, required the first time a coach applies for their credentials (ACC or PCC level).
  • Understanding the marking criteria of the Core Competencies for recorded sessions.
